Best Conditioner Ever. (Davines Love Lovely Smoothing Conditioner review)
I have finally found it! My HG conditioner!
If you, like me, have long, dried, and over dyed hair (or extensions in my case) , you HAVE to run out and buy a tub of Davine's Love Lovely Smoothing Conditioner.
I can't stop raving about this hair conditioner because it has literally rescued my burnt rat's nest. To give you an idea of how much abuse I put my hair through, I dye my hair every other month and I flat iron my hair every other day so you can imagine how badly damaged my hair is.
Believe me when I say I've tried EVERY brand of hair conditioner out there. Low-end to High-end, from Dove to Organix to Kerastase and Redken. Nothing can compare to this. It's super moisturizing and has a nice 'slip' to it, all without leaving my hair weighed down and greasy!
...Speaking of Kerastase, I recently bought a tub of Oleo Relax Slim hair masque...and it was crap!! Left my hair greasy and didn't get ride of any frizz. What a waste of $50. :/
Anyway, This lovely pink goop has the smell of grapefruits and the texture of this conditioner is more like a hair mask. It has a really thick rich consistency so a little goes a looooong way. I scoop out a walnut-sized clump and smooth it into the middle and the ends and leave it in for about 2 minutes every time I wash my hair, which is once in every two days. (Shhhh...... :x)
Beware! It will leave your bathroom floor rather slippery and the tub is cute, but not exactly practical because water gets in every time I use it, but for the results, a little inconvenience is worth dealing with.
Where to buy: I get mine from www.bellabox.sg (I'm not getting paid for this review btw) and retails for about $29 online. I used to get it from strawberrynet but they don't seem to stock it anymore.
I hope my review was helpful! :)

We are not a welfare state.
Some eye-openers you should watch if you're Singaporean. Naturally, these videos aren't too widely circulated.
Video 1: Soaring prices hit Singapore's poor
Video 1: Soaring prices hit Singapore's poor
Video 2: Singapore's policies forces some onto streets
Our Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong sums this up in a few words:
"Singapore is not a welfare state".
Does this mean that absolutely NO welfare should be provided to the people?
Why then, do we pay exorbitant fees for Income tax, Property tax (stamp duty), COEs, ERP , Road Tax, and on top of that, 7% Goods and service Tax for the bare necessities like food and water?
What is our CPF for, if we can only withdraw about $400 a month after we turn 55?
What is our Medisave Fund for, if we may only use it when we are critically ill or suffering from a terminal disease? We are one of the richest countries in the world after all. I am sure a measly insignificant portion of our collected taxes can go towards helping some needy people get by. You claim that you have built flats for needy families, and they only need register with HDB. Why then, do you turn them away on a flimsy excuse such as "they do not have a proper family nucleus?" FYI, If they did have a proper family nucleus, they would not be in the predicament they are in now, non? This incident I have seen with my own two eyes. Where oh where are our taxes going to then?
" From 2008 to 2012, Lee Hsien Loong earned an annual salary of S$3,870,000 (US$2,856,930),[26] an increase of 25% from the previous S$3,091,200 (US$2,037,168).[27] In January 2012, Lee Hsien Loong took a 28% paycut reducing his salary to S$2.2 million (US$1.7 million).[28][29][30] He remains the highest-paid premier in the world.[31"- source Wikipedia
Oh. That's right.

ETC.
Because I won't stay 22 forever. Yes, I know that the quality of the pictures are abysmal. Guess I really should get a better camera before I turn 70 and posing in little clothing will do nothing except empty the contents of people stomachs. heheheh.

Of God(s) and Men
"We are all brothers under the same God. "
That phrase overheard one day on National Geographic's 'Im Alive' stopped me dead in my tracks. It was made by an Abu Sayyaf translator turned rescuer to a hostage. As my noodles went soggy It couldnt help but make me think of the sort of person I was - would I have been able to make the same decisions the translator did, to be brave enough in the face of danger in order to do the right thing? You must understand that if he and his family were caught, they would surely be hunted down and put to death for betrayal. As I admired his bravery, I pondered to myself.
How many of us would have just stood by on the sidelines out of cowardice, even though we disagreed with the ones 'on our side.' Religion is a funny thing, it has the power of bringing nations together, and causing a great divide.
I've seen religious men and women condemn and turn away from people seeking redemption or acceptance simple because, well, they're different. We've all been taught at one point or another to depise certain things or actions depending on the type of society we grew up in. Im not talking about truly despicable things like ending someone's life, torture or rape, but insignificant things, like the way a girl chooses to dress, or a person who smokes, has tattoos, or even someone who has a different sexual preference.
Sometimes religion can place metaphorical blinkers on us without us ever realizing it. For example, I knew a person who was as good as gold. He was kind, im fact is so kind that he would give you the very shirt off his back if you required it. One day he confided in me that he was disillusioned because a pious christian lady told him he was going to hell anyway, not because he did anything damnable or evil, but because he was buddhist. To which he replied : So, even if I did the right thing all my life, sacrifice a life of luxury to help the poor, I'd still go to hell, because I believe in a different God, while unrepentant rapists and murderers who accept your God can go to heaven?
Yes, the lady replied.
I admit I have been guilty of having my own little prejudices, after all I am only human. But what seperates us from each other shouldn't be colour, or text in some ancient book, or even ideals of any one person, whom for all you know, could be driven by political reasons.
Just simply doing the right thing as and when you can makes a difference, no need to give up your life for one of celibacy. Even Buddha believed in balance, if I am not wrong.
Morals are a hard thing to adhere by in this day and age, but we can at least try to let go of petty differences. We have nothing to lose, only world peace to gain.
But from today on, I refuse to let 'being only human' be an excuse to stop me from being the best person I can be. God help me.

Yes, im aware that I sound like a cynical fart, but bear with me here. And No , I am not an Atheist. I do believe there is a God/higher power/force somewhere out there. A God not defined by ideals of men, but by brotherly love. If there was a God, I don't think he would want us to be so caught up with petty prejudices that we forget the true meaning of religion. Brotherly love. A concept so simple and yet so astoundingly difficult to accept. Because of Fear? Definitely. Because of pride? Maybe. Political factors? Possibly. There are a million and one reasons humans can give to justify an action of cruelty, but it always saddens me to hear of people killing in the name of God. Of course killing is an extreme. To put it in a less severe perspective, how many of us have discriminated against someone else for their beliefs of lifestyle choices?
I apologise if my thoughts seem discombobulated. It's 5am, and I can't get to sleep because my head is bursting with questions, theories and answers and I have some difficulty putting them all in writing.
